Base pay range $45.00/hr - $55.00/hr Job Title: Database Administrator Duration: 1 year C2H Target Start Date: ASAP Need to have Active secret clearance Top 3-4 Technical Skills MS SQL and Oracle Database Administration Database Patching, Maintenance, and Configuration Documentation and Source Code Management (via LAAFB EIS) Security+ or Equivalent DoD 8570 Baseline Certifications Project Overview: The Database Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and supporting mission-critical databases-primarily MS SQL and Oracle-used by the 61 CS. The role includes database development, patching, updates, troubleshooting, documentation, and problem resolution to ensure continuity and data integrity for military operations. All development documentation and code must be maintained within the base's Enterprise Information System (EIS). What is the business challenge they're trying to solve? Ensure database stability and operational reliability across critical communication and data platforms at Los Angeles AFB. Support a growing number of data-driven applications and systems requiring secure, high-availability infrastructure. Proactively address vulnerabilities, inefficiencies, and database performance issues that could impact mission success. What's the impact to the end user? This role ensures that personnel and systems across the 61st CS have uninterrupted access to essential data and applications, directly supporting mission planning, operational readiness, and national defense initiatives.
