SENIOR PARK AND RECREATION SPECIALIST – MONTEREY DISTRICT / ASILOMAR SECTOR / MONTEREY DISTRICT

The reporting location for this position is at the Asilomar Sector Office located at 804 Crocker Avenue, Pacific Grove. This position will work under the general direction of the District Superintendent III.    

The Sr. Park and Recreation Specialist (SPRS) performs duties relative to the planning, implementing and direction for all aspects of the district's operation. The SPRS is a member of the District Core staff and works directly with the District, Headquarters and other Department staff with a high degree of independence in meeting their responsibilities. In conjunction with the District Superintendent, the SPRS will be responsible for visitor services oversight, district partnerships, permits, facilities development, administration, interpretation, real property management, and resource management of the District, with an emphasis being contract compliance at Asilomar State Beach and Conference Grounds.  The SPRS will be an active participant of multiple committees and groups and will attend meetings as scheduled.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as not telework eligible.
