Overview:

Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Florida Department of Corrections .

We are currently seeking a f ull-time Secondary Screener / Certified Nursing Assisant to join our team at South Florida Reception Center located in Doral Florida.

Responsibilities:

The Secondary Screener will perform secondary screening and health assessments upon intake.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in providing proper screening services for proper healthcare assessment
• Screens incarcerated individuals upon intake
• Ability to perform risk and health assessments and make appropriate referrals
• Ability to operates office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and uses computer for spreadsheet, word processing, database management, and other applications
• Composes, types, and distributes assessment notes, routine correspondence, and reports, as required
• Completes forms in accordance with Centurion procedures
• Makes copies of correspondence and other printed or electronic material as requested
• Communicates with the Centurion regional and corporate offices as requested and other sites, as needed
• Maintains paper and electronic filing systems for records, correspondence, and other material to ensure efficient retrieval
• Maintains compliance with all facility and Centurion policies, and federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines including HIPAA
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant is a MUST
• Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Word programs
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
• Must submit to and pass drug testing per agency requirements where applicable
• Experience in a correctional environment preferred

Available Shift:

Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm
