Luna Data Solutions has an exciting long term contract opportunity for a Jr Project Manager in Austin, TX. We’re looking for someone who is curious, hard-working, and excited to leverage modern technologies and practices to build high-quality government products. This is a hybrid role with 1 day onsite every other week. This role will

support a range of users, including field technicians, planners, and executives who need to track high-level goals. You will apply and contribute to product operations processes so that high-quality products and services are delivered strategically, transparently, equitably, and efficiently.

This position partners with our Application Solutions team, and like all Project Managers, you will regularly collaborate with our Geo, Data Science, and Software Development teams to implement or integrate with solutions in other platforms. The main platform for the Apps team is Knack, a no-code workflow management platform that has become the most widely used tool in tech stack.

Opportunities:

• Partner with the Apps Team Lead to prioritize, document, and manage our Knack and Sharepoint solutions, and support other DTS teams as needed
• Proactively champion DTS Apps Suite products and initiatives, foster collaboration, and promote department-wide standardization of data and processes
• Work with end users to identify needs, defi ne scope, and prioritize work from high-level projects to specifi c application features, datasets, and map requests
• Ensure requirements and user stories are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations
• Actively monitor project risks and scope creep to identify potential problems and solutions
• Triage DTS service requests from the divisions in your portfolio
• Use an agile project management framework to organize their work
• Document project status and strategic recommendations to team members, end users, division stakeholders, and executive leadership via the DTS website and newsletter

Experience:

• Experience using agile project management to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and iterative delivery
• 3+ years of professional experience with software, digital services, or data products
• Experience with database solutions, no-code web applications and forms, and user-centered product development
• Ability to self-direct and self-manage among tight deadlines, prioritization conflicts, and resource constraints
• Commitment to robust project documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent relationship management skills that include forming authentic and trustworthy connections with colleagues and stakeholders
