Salary: $21 - $23 per hour A bit about us: Are you bilingual in Spanish and want to work with high school aged students to help them to stay motivated in school with their studies? If you would like to make a difference to help students 9th Grade through 12th Grade in the Baltimore City and Baltimore County Schools then this role is for you! We need 3 reliable, dedicated, and experienced mentors, who are passionate about working with the students in with Baltimore City or Baltimore County Schools. Upon receiving the position and you'll stay with the same school and with the same students for the duration of the school year, which is through the beginning of June. Experience with tutoring in Math or English especially would be highly desired since you'll be helping the students with their homework and to study. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in Spanish, has experience in mentoring, or teaching, or as a tutor for high school aged students, and can build relationships to help those students thrive! Hours are during the school day, generally 7:45-2:30pm, Monday-Friday, working onsite in the school, full time hours. There is no part time, nights or weekends. You will be working in the schools, with supervisor support to help tutor English and/or Math, assisting up to 4 students at a time. Generally working 35-40 hours/week. You must have be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, Fingerprinting and Maryland Sex Offender Background Check before starting. Compensation is $20-$22/hour, plus benefits while on contract for these roles. Possibility to join the team permanently after the contract period with a pay bump as well! Why join us? You will follow the school schedule with any half day. holidays, and school breaks, so the number of hours you work will follow the school schedule.
