Job Description

Position Summary: Implement United Way of Bartholomew County's "Avenues to Opportunity" program for participants who are employees of Columbus Regional Health. Help participants establish family stability, improve their health and well-being, and build financial success with a goal to increase job retention, productivity, and career advancement. Coach participants to set meaningful goals and address barriers that are keeping them from reaching their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Must build trusting, productive relationships with participants and colleagues

+ Must interact with participants and colleagues in a tactful and respectful manner

+ Must self-manage emotions and moods during interactions

+ Must behave ethically in coaching activities

+ Must embrace continuous learning through self-reflection

+ Must show empathy to colleagues by hearing their points of view

+ Must maintain confidentiality in all sensitive information

+ Must be goal-oriented

+ Ability to partner with supervisors to establish SMART goals

+ Demonstrated ability to meet weekly and monthly tasks

+ Willingness to speak-up during supervision and discuss challenges with supervisor

+ Ability to self-manage through work conflicts or crises in a timely manner

+ Must build transparent and authentic communication

+ Must fulfill commitments to participants and colleagues

+ Must establish deep knowledge of community resources

+ Must keep data management system up-to-date for participants

Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

+ Bachelor's degree preferred

+ Three years of social service experience or equivalent

+ Outstanding communication skills, oral and written

+ Outstanding collaborative skills

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

+ Ability to learn data management systems

+ Must have a valid Indiana Driver's License

+ Must demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of United Way of Bartholomew County
