Our document imaging and technology product portfolios are specifically selected for their functionality, innovativeness and reliability. CDS provides sales and ATSP certified copier and printer repair for all leading manufacturers including Canon, Kyocera, Xerox, Sharp, HP and Lexmark, supporting full product lines.

Our mission is to partner with businesses by providing total document solutions from a consultative approach and provide local same day support and service. We are currently seeking individuals to join our dedicated service team.

Copier Service Technician Responsibilities

· Traveling to customer sites for troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving copier maintenance and repair issues

· Performing on-site and office-based installations

· Maintaining current technical knowledge and continuously working to expand knowledge of new technology and equipment through manufacturer training

· Ability to work a consistent 40-hour work week

· Managing and maintaining accurate inventory for tools, parts and supplies in vehicle stock

· Create a high level of user satisfaction through accurate, timely follow-up, and strong technical skills

· Ensure quick response times to facilitate maximum uptime for all users and systems

· Collaborate with co-workers to share expertise, information and solve problems

· Must demonstrate superior organization and time management skills

· Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions

· Must be willing to complete assigned training (online, as well as instructor-led classes at the manufacturer’s training facilities). Some travel may be required.

· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

Copier Service Technician Qualifications

Education:

2-year degree in Electronics Technology (AS) or similar field of study. Experience may be substituted for education. Must have 2-3 years extensive electro-mechanical experience.

License/Certification/Experience Required:

· Prior service experience on copiers, printers, and fax machines preferred

· Must possess a valid driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage, and reliable vehicle to drive for company use

· Network connectivity experience preferred

· Proof of Manufacturer Certifications from at least one of the following: Canon, Kyocera, Sharp, and/or Hewlett Packard. Certification on 45+ ppm copiers a plus. Must main OEM certifications.

Knowledge:

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as service manuals, parts catalogs, circuit diagrams, and operating and maintenance instructions

· Skilled computer knowledge and PC proficient

· Digital electronic knowledge

· Demonstrates openness to new procedures, technology and structure

Abilities:

· Able to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment

· Able to lift, carry, pull and/or move 20 – 45 pounds repeatedly throughout workday

· Able to kneel, squat, crouch, crawl and/or bend when making repairs, often in confined spaces

· May require moving equipment weighing 800-1200 pounds

· Need to be self-motivated, professional, proactive, and possess the ability to work independently in the field

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required

· Exceptionally skilled in organization, attention to detail and effective prioritization of duties

· Able to meet commitments and deadlines

· Able to complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner

· Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
