The Role
Our Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy & Utilities Consulting group is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our journey. We’re looking for a Consulting Principal who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. This means partnering with clients and project stakeholders to enable consulting excellence through the Five Pillars.
Responsibilities
Work with clients to establish clear connections between business goals and strategies to capability development and implementation to achieving desired business value.
Define product/platform strategies and solutions focused on Transportation Planning and execution, including logistics planning, route optimization and fleet management.
Understand scope and define business requirements along with client business stakeholders.
Map business processes to identify improvement/transformation opportunities.
End-to-end requirement management of products from product/platform vision to deliverable stories.
Prepare functional use cases/detailed user stories.
Validate UX/UI for every feature/function.
Conduct stories/functionality demo to client product management teams (internal/external).
Review test plans prepared by QA Team.
Support UAT.
Assist in resolving scope, requirements, and other technical related queries.
Manage change requests/enhancements/features.
Defect analysis, testing and demo to client.
Expertise in working with multi-geography development team to deliver production-ready product with incremental value.
Advanced problem resolution skills and communication abilities.
Create and maintain long-term working relationships with technology teams, functional counterparts, vendors, and business partners.
Qualifications
10+ years of consulting experience with a focus on Transportation and Logistics .
Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Show proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
Display a deep understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Be capable of working effectively in a hybrid work model.
Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Exhibit a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
Maintain a client-focused approach with strong relationship management skills.
Personal leadership and a desire to create a culture that enables exceptional outcomes.
Ability to travel if needed for business requirements.
Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are preferred, but not required.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree required; *MBA or Master’s degree strongly preferred.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $122,400.00 – $194,000.00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
